How it Started

At HustlingFox, we’re not just a company – we’re a team that understands the struggles recent graduates face because we’ve been there ourselves. Our founder, Mr Fox, graduated with an accounting degree full of ambition, only to find himself working in a warehouse for two long, frustrating years.

Determined to break free from the cycle of rejection due to lack of experience, Mr Fox took matters into his own hands. He decided to give employers what they wanted: experience. Armed with determination, he boldly edited his CV, adding two years of fictitious experience. The response was overwhelming – interview after interview came pouring in.

However, there was a catch – the need to verify his newfound experience with a reference from his supposed previous employer. Undeterred, Mr Fox found himself on a mission. He went outside the office building he used for his experience, suited up, and strategically positioned himself to intercept someone who could provide information or give a reference to him.

After nearly an hour, Mr Fox spotted a well-dressed man with a Stefano Ricci jacket, recalling a motivational speaker’s mention of its expense. Seizing the opportunity, Mr Fox followed him, assessing how to strike up a conversation and get the information he needed. Suddenly, a phone snatching incident unfolded, and Mr Fox instinctively intervened, successfully apprehending the thief.

In the aftermath, Mr Fox handed the phone back to its owner, and an unexpected bond formed. The man he saved, who happened to work in the same building, recognised Mr Fox from his earlier vigil outside the office. In a twist of fate, Mr Fox found himself invited to lunch as a token of gratitude.

Over that meal, the two discussed their paths, and Mr Fox seized the opportunity to share his struggle and ask for help with his reference. The man, impressed by Mr Fox’s tenacity, not only agreed to provide the reference but also became an invaluable ally in navigating the next stage of his career journey.
